Secret Cleared Sr. Systems Engineer Security Clearance

Position: Secret Cleared Sr. Systems Engineer with Security Clearance
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Secret Cleared Sr. Systems Engineer to support a premier federal IT provider based out of San Diego, CA. The Secret Cleared Sr. Systems Engineer will be responsible for engineering, securing, and continuously optimizing IL6 Windows and cloud mission infrastructure while providing technical leadership that ensures resilient, compliant, and automation-driven operations for the supported DoD environment. Responsibilities of the Secret Cleared Sr.

Systems Engineer includes:
* Engineer, secure, and sustain IL6 Windows and cloud-based mission infrastructure using automation, Dev Sec Ops  practices, and DoD cybersecurity standards.

* Integrate Windows systems into secure CI/CD pipelines, support containerized workloads, and ensure continuous vulnerability management, patching, and system hardening.

* Provide daily technical leadership by translating mission priorities into engineering tasks, coordinating team activities, and serving as the primary technical interface with the Government customer.

* Maintain operational continuity of mission systems through troubleshooting across cloud, network, identity, compute, and storage layers while ensuring availability, resilience, and compliance. Qualifications for the Secret Cleared Sr. Systems Engineer includes :
* 10+ years of relevant experience

* Experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks including RMF and STIG compliance

* Experience integrating windows infrastructure into Dev Ops/Dev Sec Ops  workflows

* Bachelor's degree is highly preferred

* IAT II certification is required

* Active Secret Clearance is required Compensation for the Secret Cleared Sr. Systems Engineer includes :
* Salary Equivalent: $180,000 - $200,000
