Responsibilities

We are seeking Operations/Data Analysts to join a professional support services contract team in support of the Surface Ship Maintenance, Modernization and Sustainment (SEA 21) Directorate within the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) headquarters at the Washington Navy Yard. You will be responsible for enabling the successful execution of a five‑year task order supporting the Navy’s surface fleet maintenance and modernization efforts, ensuring our team delivers high‑quality, compliant support to critical naval operations.

You will be collaborating with a team of geographically dispersed project managers, engineers, analysts, and logisticians across Washington DC, San Diego, Norfolk, Mayport, Pearl Harbor, and international sites as part of the overall contract task of coordinating, communicating, and integrating maintenance, modernization, and sustainment performance information in support of the Navy’s Surface Warfare Enterprise.

Operations/Data Analysts help determine better ways to coordinate and manage large organizations that require the effective use of money, materials, equipment, and people. They apply analytical methods from mathematics, science, and engineering to optimize solutions to diverse issues such as strategy, planning, forecasting, resource allocation, performance measurement, scheduling, production design, supply chain management, pricing, transportation and distribution, and the analysis of large databases.

They gather information and then select the most appropriate analytical technique, using simulation, linear and nonlinear programming, dynamic programming, queuing and other stochastic‑process models, and the analytic hierarchy process.
