Aboutthe role
This is a great opportunity to provide facilities regional engineering support of Research Labs & maintenance support to an innovative Life Sciences/ Pharmaceutical facility in San Diego, California. Travel no more than 10% to the San Francisco, CA area.
What you’ll do- Coordinate & communicate building system outages for preventative maintenance
- Complete annual capital needs assessment based on knowledge of building systems
- Complete annual Asset Inventory Count
- Provide oversight of both building equipment & preventative maintenance tasks ensuring reliability
- Participate in all Health, Safety & Environmental objectives as directed
- Ownership of CAD drawings for buildings - drawing system is in process of being developed
- Use Organizational Change System to detail critical system changes
- Coordinate small scale projects with scientists as requested
- Benchmark & present new facilities technology as feasible for consideration
- Attend Capital Project meetings related to your buildings and provide technical mentorship
- Build and modify preventative maintenance procedures as needed
- Ensure new building assets are set up in the CMMS system and coordinated into the building management system.
- Buildings systems include, but are not limited to:
- Air handlers, exhaust fans, fume hoods & bio hoods
- Safety showers & eye washes
- Vacuum systems
- Steam PRV’s & condensate recovery systems
- Potable water pumps
- Chilled water and heating hot water
- Electrical sub-stations
- Sanitary & storm sewers
- Fire protection
- General infrastructure (exterior included)
