X is recruiting on behalf of a confidential, highly regulated precision manufacturing organization serving aerospace, defense, medical, nuclear, and space industries.

Our client specializes in the fabrication of exotic and high-performance alloys, including titanium alloys, nickel-based superalloys, refractory metals, and specialty stainless steels. Their products support mission-critical applications requiring strict safety, dimensional control, and full traceability.

  • Manage NDT inspection operations and personnel, including Level I, Level II, and Level III inspectors, as applicable
  • Develop, maintain, and enforce NDT Written Practice in accordance with SNT-TC-1A, NAS-410, or applicable standards
  • Approve, oversee, and maintain NDT methods and procedures (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET)
  • Ensure NDT equipment calibration, qualification, maintenance, and traceability
  • Ensure compliance with internal QMS requirements (ISO 9001, AS9100, NADCAP, as applicable) and customer specifications
  • Validate inspection results and maintain complete NDT records, reports, and certification logs
  • Lead investigations of NDT non-conformances, root cause analysis, and corrective actions
  • Prepare inspection metrics related to quality performance, efficiency, and defect trends
  • Partner cross-functionally with engineering and production teams to integrate inspection requirements early in the manufacturing process
  • Train, mentor, and evaluate NDT personnel
  • Enforce safety policies and regulatory compliance
Position Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of NDT experience across multiple inspection methods
  • ASNT Level III (or equivalent) certification in one method, multiple methods preferred
  • Experience overseeing NDT certification, qualification, and training programs strongly valued

Level III scope, certification authority, and Responsible Level III designation will be aligned based on candidate qualifications and organizational structure.

Compensation

The final salary will be based on experience, certifications, leadership scope, and market considerations. Candidates bringing significant Level III oversight or Responsible Level III experience may be considered at a higher level
