Responsibilities- Lead/manage the planning, design, and execution of private and public infrastructure and land development projects.
- Oversee project schedules, budgets, contracts, and technical staff, ensuring the successful delivery of high‑quality work.
- Prepare and review civil engineering designs, bid documents, regulatory plans, and construction support materials.
- Engage directly with clients, public agencies, and stakeholders to foster strong, long‑term relationships.
- Contribute to business development efforts through proposal writing, fee estimates, and client presentations.
- Mentor and guide junior engineers and designers while promoting a collaborative and supportive team culture.
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (required).
- California Professional Engineer (P.E.) license (required).
- 15+ years of directly relevant experience in civil engineering (or 18 years total industry experience).
- 5+ years of management experience, including supervision of technical teams.
- Strong background in land development, public works, and infrastructure design.
- Local experience in San Diego County and California jurisdictions strongly preferred.
- Expertise with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
- Proven ability to manage client relationships, budgets, schedules, and technical deliverables.
- Active participation in professional and community organizations is encouraged.
