Summary

We are currently seeking a Structural Drafter to join our growing team. This position plays a critical role in translating structural engineering concepts into precise, detailed drawings that guide construction. The ideal candidate will be skilled in computer-aided design (CAD) and/or BIM software, detail-oriented, and experienced in structural drafting for a variety of building types.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepare detailed structural drawings and plans using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar software, under the supervision of structural engineers.

  • Draft construction documents including foundations, framing, floor plans, sections, and details.

  • Update and revise drawings based on markups and design changes from engineers and project managers.

  • Assist with 3D modeling of structural systems for coordination and visualization.

  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy, compliance with company standards, and adherence to applicable codes.

  • Collaborate with engineers, architects, and other drafters to support multidisciplinary coordination.

  • Maintain organized documentation and version control of project drawings.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or technical diploma in drafting, design technology, or a related field.

  • 2+ years of experience in structural drafting, preferably in an architectural or engineering firm.

  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and/or Revit; experience with BIM workflows is a plus.

  • Familiarity with structural systems including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.

  • Ability to read and interpret structural and architectural drawings and specifications.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.

  • Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Experience with Bluebeam, Navisworks, or other coordination tools.
  • Knowledge of local building codes and construction standards.

  • Exposure to projects in commercial, healthcare, residential, or institutional sectors.
