Engineer – IFC Support (Level
2)
Location:
Rancho Bernardo, CA
The selected candidate will work with the Systems Engineering Lead and IFC Lead to meet program milestones and manage the technical baseline.
Essential Functions- Work with associated IPTs to develop and execute development, integration, and test plans in accordance with program schedule and system and segment level requirements.
- Manage the project execution rhythm, coordination and reporting activities to ensure that all certification milestones are completed on time. > supplier deliveries and serve as the primary project Point of Contact for the project to customers and key suppliers.
- Update and release IFC Configuration Documentation and the IFC Certification Package.
- Lead the associated IPTs in preparing, monitoring, and updating project schedules, conducting and participating in all related design reviews, and serving as a technical liaison to the cross-functional team.
- Work full-time, on-site at our facility. Travel up to 10% may be required.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline and 2 years of related engineering experience; OR a Master’s degree in a STEM discipline and entry level experience.
- Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment, Action Oriented, Strong Attention to Detail, Communicates Effectively.
- Experience in managing projects from concept through implementation.
- Experience in full lifecycle of Systems Engineering.
- Active in-Scope, DoD Top Secret clearance for consideration.
- Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Program Access (SAP/PAR) prior to commencement of employment and must be obtained within a reasonable amount of time as determined by the company to meet its business needs.
- Current approved PAR to applicable program.
- Experience in leadership role on Systems Engineering Milestones SRR, PDR and CDR.
- Experience in Cost/Schedule Integration, EVMS and CAM responsibilities.
- Experience in proposal development.
- Experience working in an agile environment (JIRA).
- Demonstrated communication and technical writing skills.
- Proven ability to brief technical presentations to stakeholders.
Primary Level Salary Range: $89,400.00 – $
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
