Join Yorke Engineering, LLC as a Senior Air Quality Engineer/Scientist (Consulting).
This role involves leading and executing compliance and permitting functions related to Air Quality Regulations and Compliance. Responsibilities include reviewing processes and equipment, analyzing permit-related issues, and communicating findings within the organization, with clients, government agencies, and the public. The position is broad in scope, requiring effective communication, decision-making, and time management. The candidate may also train and mentor other employees.
This is a Senior to Principal level position, involving complex and sensitive duties, with opportunities to lead and develop team members.
Qualifications include:- 10-20+ years of experience in Air Quality and/or Environmental industry, preferably in consulting;
- Experience in environmental services focusing on air quality permitting, process review, emissions reporting, air dispersion modeling, and compliance in California;
- Ability to manage project teams and foster client and regulator relationships;
- Experience working on-site at client facilities;
- Technical data handling and interpretation skills;
- Regulatory experience with SCAQMD, EPA, CARB;
- Motivation to grow in the field.
- B.S. or M.S. in relevant engineering fields with a minimum GPA of 3.0;
- Strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with SharePoint is a plus;
- P.E. certification is a plus.
