Mechanical Engineer

A leading company that deals with mobile technology, is inviting application for the position of a Mechanical Engineer in the San Diego, CA area. This job is for 6 month's contractual basis. No per diem available. It is an Exempt position per FLSA guidelines.

• Application of Pro/E solid modeling software on a daily basis, concept layouts along with use of surfacing from Industrial Designer, determining rigid and flexible circuit board outline and mounting constraints, electronic file transmission to/from circuit board CAD designers, shielding/gasket design, design of mechanical parts and system assemblies.
• generating detailed mechanical drawings, indicating dimensional tolerances and tolerance stackups, generating BOMs for assemblies, dealing with internal teams for best selection of electro-mechanical components, dealing with internal machine shop for prototypes, and dealing with external suppliers for design collaboration and fabrication, together with sheet metal items, machined parts, and injection molded parts.
• The Engineer will connect with internal staff and outside partners in the on-the-spot implementation of divesified multi-disciplined projects.

Requirements Mechanical engineering and capability of designing of high-density electronics packaging experience are required. BSME required. Sound knowledge in modeling with Pro/E or Solidworks mechanical CAD system.
