Job Description
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our team in supporting and improving the quality of our electronic products and manufacturing processes. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring compliance with quality standards, resolving product and process issues, and driving continuous improvement across the organization. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement quality control plans and procedures for electronic components, assemblies, and finished products in compliance with industry standards.
- Conduct internal audits to maintain compliance with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) and recommend areas for improvement.
- Analyze production and test data to identify trends, root causes of defects, and opportunities for process optimization.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints and non-conforming materials, implementing corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams—including manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain—to address quality issues and improve processes.
- Support new product and process development, ensuring quality requirements are integrated and validated.
- Perform Measurement System Analysis (MSA) to verify accuracy and reliability of inspection equipment.
- Maintain quality documentation, including inspection plans, procedures, work instructions, and reports.
- Train and support production staff on quality control procedures and best practices.
- Monitor supplier quality, conduct audits, and drive supplier performance improvements.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of quality management principles, methodologies, and tools such as SPC, FMEA, and root cause analysis.
- Experience with quality management systems (ISO 9001, AS9100, ISO 13485) and auditing.
- Proficiency in data analysis and statistical software.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with strong organizational and project management skills.
- Must be a U.S. Person as defined by EAR Part 772 and ITAR 120.15.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 2–3 years of experience as a Quality Engineer in an SMT electronics manufacturing environment.
- Experience with auditing, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Proficiency with QMS software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge or certification in IPC-A-610 standards is a plus.
