. This position will be located in San Diego, CA
.

In this role, you will work in a multi-disciplinary team environment to design, develop, implement, verify, and test algorithms, software, and simulation tools to perform Guidance, Navigation and Control (GNC) of aircraft.

• Develop control laws to meet air vehicle performance, flying qualities and stability margin requirements, both on ground and in flight.
• Develop air vehicle system linear and non-linear dynamic simulation models and integrate models into software and hardware-in-the-loop simulation environments.
• Develop the next generation of navigation technology.
• Interface with strategic supplier partners and coordinate with adopting programs to ensure technical requirements are properly incorporated into design solutions.
• Analyze air vehicle flight test data and support flight test activities.
• Utilize excellent communication, analysis and problem-solving skills.

This role can be filled at either the Engineer Level or the Principal Engineer Level.

• Must have a Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field and at least 2 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field with at least some relevant academic experience.
• Must have knowledge of fixed-wing aircraft flight dynamics.
• Must have experience using MATLAB to create, process, analyze, and visually represent data.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

• Must have a Bachelors degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) field and at least 5 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Master's Degree in a STEM field with at least 3 years of relevant military / professional experience, OR a Ph.D. and at least 1 year of relevant military / professional experience.
• Must have knowledge of fixed-wing aircraft flight dynamics.
• Must have experience using MATLAB to create, process, analyze, and visually represent data.
• Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret within a reasonable amount of time as determined by business needs.

• Proficient in MATLAB/Simulink.
• Experience using linear control principles and tools to design feedback control systems.
• Experience analyzing non-linear simulations of aircraft closed-loop dynamics.
• Good understanding of the GPS system, the GPS Signal in Space characteristics, DGPS systems, inertial sensors, GPS/INS, tightly coupled Kalman filters, GPS receiver design, alternative PNT solutions.
• Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, signal analyzers, multi-meters).
• Supplier management experience.
• An active DoD Top Secret clearance (with a background investigation completed within the last 6 years or currently enrolled into Continuous Evaluation).
