Kleinfelder's SoCal Area is hiring a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our team in San Diego, CA! Are you ready to elevate your technical skills, grow your career, and explore new professional pathways? Responsibilities
  • Serve as a design lead and technical advisor for project engineers and CAD operators
  • Manage tasks and/or projects as assigned
  • Assist with the pursuit of new projects
  • Produce technical reports as needed
  • Prepare cost proposals for projects
  • Develop project deliverables including design computations, contract drawings, specifications, and estimates
  • Occasionally travel to project/client sites to complete tasks or attend meetings
Qualifications
  • BSCE from an ABET accredited engineering program (MSCE preferred)
  • A minimum of 10 years of relevant design experience in the structural engineering field
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (CA, NV, WA PE license a plus)
  • Familiarity with AASHTO, Caltrans, AREMA standards
  • Experience performing design and analysis of transportation structures including bridges, culverts, walls, and sign structures
  • Familiarity with general purpose structural analysis software design software (3D finite element analysis experience strongly preferred)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (Micro Station experience a plus)
  • Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with co-workers, project managers, supervisors, and other team members
  • Valid driver's license with demonstrated safe driving practices

The expected salary range for the position is displayed in accordance with the California Pay Transparency Law. Final agreed upon compensation is based upon individual qualifications and experience.
