Junior Structural Engineer

A well established structural engineering firm in San Diego is looking for a Junior Structural Engineer to join their team. This is a great role for someone early in their career who wants hands on experience, strong mentorship, and exposure to a wide range of project types across Southern California.

You will support design and analysis on a variety of building projects including commercial, residential, institutional, and specialty structures. The firm is known for high quality work, close client relationships, and a collaborative environment where junior engineers get real responsibility and steady growth.

• Assist with structural design for wood, steel, concrete, and masonry buildings
• Build models, run calculations, and prepare drawings and technical documents
• Coordinate with senior engineers, architects, and contractors throughout the design process
• Support construction phase work including site visits and field observations
• Learn firm standards, workflows, and design approaches while growing into more independent tasks

• Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering
• EIT preferred or in progress
• Strong understanding of structural fundamentals and building code basics
• Familiarity with common analysis tools is helpful but not required
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative mindset
• Attention to detail and willingness to learn
