Job Overview
As a Sr. Electrical Engineer at Foresight Sports, you will play a key part in developing, deploying, and supporting the systems that power our cutting‑edge golf technology solutions, including simulation studios, range systems, and enterprise deployments. This is a unique opportunity to work at the intersection of sports and technology, helping redefine how the world experiences the game of golf.
Responsibilities- Manage engineering projects from concept through production, including resource planning, scheduling, and technical documentation. Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Lead the design and development of complex electronic systems, including analog and digital circuitry, embedded systems, and electromechanical products. Oversee schematic capture, PCB layout, and system integration.
- Ensure designs meet national and international standards (e.g., UL, CE, RoHS) and comply with relevant safety regulations. Maintain EMC and safety compliance certifications throughout the product lifecycle.
- Generate schematics, BOMs, and PCB layouts; ensure design for manufacturability and testability.
- Develop and validate electronic interfaces with mechanical systems and embedded software.
- Lead design reviews with all cross functional teams, and with production/operations teams. Capture findings and incorporate them into designs.
- Provide technical guidance on sustainable engineering practices. Together with the Systems Engineer, perform research and hardware design on new boards and electrical engineering in general.
- Create documentation for PCB and PCA release. Follow release procedures and serve as a liaison between Engineering and Production.
- Once PCBs and PCAs are manufactured, validate the design by bringing the board up and testing components and modules against the design and specification.
- Develop and execute testing protocols, perform root cause analysis for electrical performance issues, and troubleshoot complex circuitry. Validate designs against specifications and regulatory requirements.
- B.S. degree in electrical engineering or related background. MS preferred.
- 10+ years in electronic engineering roles, with proven expertise in circuit design, PCB layout, embedded systems, and system‑level evaluation. Imaging systems experience is a big plus.
- Advanced knowledge of power electronics, Linear power supply design, switching supply simulation and design.
- Controlled impedance for high‑speed designs, stack‑up specification, for designs up to 10 GHz.
- Strong design experience with ARM processors, and their peripherals, such as I2C, MIPI, USB, Ethernet.
- Experience designing with FPGA SoC (Xilinx preferred), DDR3 and later, eMMC Flash. A thorough understanding of design workflow. Imaging systems experience is a big plus.
- Firmware/software integration and compliance testing. Proficiency with design tools such as Altium 365.
- Create and maintain design requirements, schematics, assembly drawings, bills of materials, and test reports. Ensure all documentation adheres to quality system requirements.
- Understanding of Firmware / Software as it relates to electronic hardware.
- Demonstrated electrical engineering experience and exhibited leadership skills.
- Self‑starter, highly motivated, with strong communication skills.
