• Act as the subject matter expert on ship‑specific corrosion conditions and their impact on expected service life.
• Track recurring corrosion conditions across multiple surface ship platforms.
• Provide analysis and recommendations to support SURFMEPP's life cycle management strategies.
• Review tank and void packages for each hull to determine feasibility.
• Apply engineering judgment and experience while tracking corrosion work from assessment activities.
• Participate in corrosion‑related Communities of Practice and Knowledge Sharing Networks, reviewing and QAing condition data during assessment events.
• Understand government maintenance teams and private shipyard constructs related to condition assessment and depot‑level maintenance execution.
• Quickly learn Navy Maintenance and Logistics databases such as NMD, 3M OARS, CCIMS and VSB.

• Must hold an active Department of Defense (DoD) SECRET personnel security clearance.

• Minimum of 4 years of related professional experience in US Navy Corrosion Control support or management.
• Physical capability to perform ship checks, tanks, and void inspections.
• Familiarity with Navy 3M/PMS system maintenance and administration.
• Ability to work effectively within a team.
• Strong customer relations and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
