Structural Design Technician – Jacobs

We are looking for a driven and curious Structural Design Technician to provide leadership and support our Built Environment team. You will help design and deliver state‑of‑the‑art structures, coordinate design across disciplines, and lead a small team of designers to meet project standards and objectives.

• Develop design concepts, create models from scratch, and coordinate with clients and construction trade partners.
• Convey structural requirements to the construction team through 2D paper deliverables and/or BIM 3D Revit models.
• Provide leadership for a small project, establishing project standards, procedures, training, and morale for the design team.
• Collaborate with the Advanced Manufacturing team to provide award‑winning planning, engineering, architectural design, and construction management solutions.
• Assist in the continuing development of your skills and explore opportunities across the global company.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• At least 5 years of drafting/design experience in the structural field.
• At least 1 year of Revit experience.
• At least 3 years of AutoCAD design experience.

• At least 2 years of Revit experience.
• Experience working on traditional steel and concrete structures.
• Experience leading a team of designers.
• Experience with healthcare, institutional, or commercial buildings.
• Experience with Navisworks and Bluebeam.

Base pay range: $61,100.00 – $84,000.00 per year.

Full‑time.

ANY location in the United States. Ideally, selected candidates will be near a Jacobs U.S. based office, but we intend to hire the best candidates.

Hybrid – you will split your work week between Jacobs offices/projects and remote locations to ensure collaboration and client delivery.
