Salary (Applicant View): Rate is set in accordance with the City College of San Francisco Faculty Salary Schedule for hourly assignments. Currently the rate upon entry is from $90.90 to $160.48 per hour depending upon placement. TEMPORARY, PART-TIME POOLEC §87482

Position Description

Men's Baseball, Men's Basketball, Football, Men's Soccer, Women's Badminton, Women's Basketball, Women's Soccer, Women's Swimming, Women's Tennis, Women's Volleyball, Women's Watern

Job Duties
  • Intercollegiate coaching for Athletics
  • Possess valid driver's license to drive Team Vans to and from games/meets.
  • Knowledgeable of the NCAA Athletic Association (CCCAA) guidelines concerning eligibility, recruitment and participation.
  • Monitor the academic progress of each athlete. Assist with study>
  • Report to the Department Chair and athletic director.
  • Supports and engages in an innovative culture of culturally responsive, inclusive and anti-racist practices as it relates to student success with an awareness of student equity gaps.
  • Participates in ongoing training on diversity, equity, inclusion and anti-racism to center pedagogy.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
  • Minimum Qualifications
    • Demonstrated knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with community college students with disabilities, various sexual orientations, and diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds (Required).
    • Bachelor's degree or higher and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.
    • Hold a fully-satisfied LIFE California Community College Instructor Credential in Physical education (California credentials were no longer issued after July 1, 1990
    • Candidate must possess a valid driver's license at the time of appointment.
    Desirable Qualifications
    • Coaching experience at the community college and/or four-year college level.
    • Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of the sport and ability to employ innovative coaching/training techniques and methodologies.
    • Current knowledge and skills in the appropriate coaching area(s) and physical education training.
    • Demonstrated commitment to improving instruction and athlete assessment methodologies through professional development.
    • Demonstrated ability to coach/train students with widely varying abilities and levels of preparation.
    • Practical demonstrative abilities, i.e. showing proper physical technique.
    • Possess current coaching certifications, diplomas and/or licenses from sporting governing body.
    • Demonstrated ability to organize and manage an off-season and pre-season training program.
    • Ability to relate to a culturally, socially diversified student body.
    • Demonstrated ability to work professionally and effectively with colleagues and students.
