The San Diego County Office of Education is recruiting for a/an School Psychologist, Special Education for the South County SELPA Department of the Student Services and Programs Division. This position provides counseling and psychological services to students enrolled in Juvenile Court and Community Schools within the county, as well as consulting for school districts; and providing training and technical assistance in special education.
This position is part-time and will offer the certificated management benefits package, which includes medical, dental, vision, and life insurance coverage, and will participate in the CalSTRS state retirement system.

Requirements / QualificationsThis position requires a combination of education and experience equivalent to a master’s degree in education, educational psychology, social services, or related field, and two (2) years of experience performing professional psychology duties in a school or clinical environment including work with children and adolescents. Special education programs and services experience preferred. Certificates, Licenses, Credentials:
- California Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology
- CA Administrative Services Credential preferred
- CPR/First Aid Certificate
- Valid CA Driver’s License

- Letter of Introduction
- Two current letters of recommendation dated within the last year
- Copy of Pupil Personnel Services Credential in School Psychology issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing
- Copy of Administrative Services Credential if applicable
- Proof of Master’s degree in education, educational psychology, social services, or related field
- Valid First Aid and CPR Certification issued by an American Red Cross or an American Heart Association-approved program

Valid California credentials are a requirement at the time of hire. If you do not possess the required California credentials, you may go to the California Commission of Teacher Credentialing website for details on meeting California’s requirements.
