SDCOE is recruiting to fill two (3) vacancies in the role of Early Education Quality Improvement Support Coach with the Learning & Leadership Services Early Education department. The positions will travel throughout San Diego County. The positions are grant-funded until 06/30/2025.
Under general direction, the Early Education Quality Improvement Support Coach will provide leadership, assessment, consultation, supports, and professional development to providers of early learning and care services participating in the San Diego Quality Preschool Initiative in a multi-tiered system of support framework in collaboration with community-based organizations and in accordance with grant requirements.
The mission of Early Education Programs and Services is to provide early intervention, professional development, and foster leadership to ensure every child has equitable access to high quality early education by supporting the individual needs of children, families, and early learning and care settings which result in sustainable changes.
Requirements / Qualifications- Valid Child Development Site Supervisor or Program Director Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
- Classroom Assessment Scoring System (CLASS) Reliability Certification and Environment Rating Scales (ERS) Calibration Certification (required within 12 months of hire in at least one age group).
- Valid California Driver License.
Experience
:
Five (5) years of successful experience in Early Education with two (2) years in a classroom setting and three (3) years of administrative level experience in providing leadership in professional development and quality improvement in early education. Including three (3) years of successful experience in a QRIS professional development role recognized by the county’s lead QRIS entity.
Education
: A Bachelor’s degree in child development or related field from an accredited college or university, or
Equivalency
:
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a Bachelor’s degree in child development or related field from an accredited college or university, and five (5) years of successful experience in Early Education with two (2) years in a classroom setting and three (3) years of administrative level experience in providing leadership in professional development and quality improvement in early education.
Including three (3) years of successful experience in a QRIS professional development role recognized by the county’s lead QRIS entity.
