Overview
California Western School of Law (CWSL) seeks applications from entry-level or lateral candidates for a full-time faculty position to teach in its Legal Skills program beginning Fall 2026. Responsibilities would include teaching Legal Skills I (including objective analysis, writing, and research) and Legal Skills II (including persuasive writing, research, and oral advocacy). We expect opportunities to teach additional courses in the candidate’s area or areas of expertise.
Although we prefer candidates seeking a tenure or tenure-track appointment, we will also consider candidates applying for long-term contract status or to the long-term contract track.

We will begin reviewing applications in early January 2026. The anticipated salary range for the positions falls between $125,000 and $140,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. CWSL provides additional benefits, including health care, relocation, pension contributions, and eligibility for summer scholarship stipends and publication awards.
