• Provide instruction in lectures or lab classes in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
• Be available to students outside of class.
• Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
• Keep current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
• Teach all scheduled classes.
• Maintain accurate records.
• Create an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues.

• Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; or
• Associate degree with six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; or equivalent.
• Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.

• Equivalency:
  If you do not possess the exact degree(s) listed above, or anticipate receiving the required degree prior to teaching, submit a Request for Equivalency Form and attach it during the application.
• Foreign degree evaluation by NACES or ACEI, if applicable.
• Commitment to diversity: demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff.

• Submit official college transcripts.
• Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renewed every 4 years).
• Have fingerprints taken by Live Scan (Clearance before first day of employment).
• Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
