- Provide instruction in lectures or lab classes in accordance with established curriculum and course outlines.
- Be available to students outside of class.
- Maintain appropriate standards of professional conduct and ethics.
- Keep current knowledge in the subject matter areas.
- Teach all scheduled classes.
- Maintain accurate records.
- Create an environment that emphasizes teaching and learning and encourages free discussion of ideas, interests and issues.
- Bachelor’s degree with two (2) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; or
- Associate degree with six (6) years of professional experience directly related to the area of assignment; or equivalent.
- Demonstrated cultural competency, sensitivity to, and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students and staff.
- Equivalency:
If you do not possess the exact degree(s) listed above, or anticipate receiving the required degree prior to teaching, submit a Request for Equivalency Form and attach it during the application. - Foreign degree evaluation by NACES or ACEI, if applicable.
- Commitment to diversity: demonstrated cultural competency and sensitivity to diverse backgrounds of students, faculty, and staff.
- Submit official college transcripts.
- Provide a Certificate of Tuberculosis Exam (renewed every 4 years).
- Have fingerprints taken by Live Scan (Clearance before first day of employment).
- Present original documents for proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
