Job Description

We are seeking enthusiastic and reliable Spanish Instructors to lead after‑school Spanish enrichment classes at multiple San Diego elementary schools. Instructors will provide engaging, beginner‑friendly language lessons through interactive activities, cultural exposure, and positive classroom management.

You may teach at one or both of the San Diego sites based on availability.

Time: 2:45 PM – 4:45 PM

Juarez Elementary

Day(s): Wednesdays
Time: 1:30 PM – 3:30 PM

Responsibilities
  • Teach interactive beginner-level Spanish using games, songs, storytelling, vocabulary practice, and cultural lessons.
  • Maintain an encouraging, structured classroom environment for students in grades K–5.
  • Prepare weekly lesson plans and arrive ready to teach.
  • Supervise students safely before, during, and after class transitions.
  • Communicate professionally with school staff and program coordinators.
  • Track attendance and report any behavioral or safety concerns.
Requirements
  • Experience teaching, tutoring, or leading youth programs preferred.
  • Strong Spanish-speaking ability (conversational to fluent).
  • Positive classroom management and communication skills.
  • Reliable transportation and consistent punctuality.
  • Live Scan background check required prior to starting.
