The Department of Management Information Systems in the Fowler College of Business at San Diego State University (SDSU) invites applications for a full-time, multi‑academic year temporary faculty, lecturer position for Fall 2025. This position is temporary and subject to the terms of the Collective Bargaining Agreement between the California State University system and the California Faculty Association. We are currently seeking applicants with previous academic teaching experience in multiple subjects to join the MIS Department.
The candidate will be expected to teach in various topics related to information systems, especially decision support systems, business intelligence, and applied artificial intelligence. The candidate will also be expected to assist with various service and co‑curricular activities.
Key Responsibilities- Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in information systems, decision support systems, business intelligence, and applied artificial intelligence.
- Develop and update course materials, assignments, and assessments in alignment with program objectives.
- Assist with service and co‑curricular activities, including advising, committee participation, and outreach.
- Completed a Ph.D. in a related field.
- Demonstrated ability to teach at both the undergraduate and graduate levels.
- Experience teaching a range of information systems courses.
- Position starts August 20, 2025. Anticipated salary range is $110,000 – $115,000 annually.
- Cover letter describing teaching interests and accomplishments.
- Teaching evaluations in a variety of classes.
- Three professional references with name, title, email, and phone numbers.
- Authorization to conduct background checks if selected as a finalist.
