Program / Project Manager, Operations Manager
Our client is a respected commercial general contractor based out of San Diego County and their services include preconstruction, design-build, construction management and general construction. Their clients span across the western United States and the markets they serve include retail, big-box, industrial, office, financial institutions, multifamily and tenant improvements.
Currently they are looking to bring on board an Assistant Project Manager who will be responsible for managing construction projects by planning, organizing, and controlling all elements of the project under the direction of a Project Manager or VP.
They will need to be a results oriented, hands‑on professional with the ability to deal effectively and interact well with clients, subcontractors, and employees. They must also be able to resolve problems and conflicts diplomatically and tactfully.
Requirements:- 2+ years of experience in the construction industry
- 2+ years of experience as a Project Engineer or similar
- Bachelors Degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering or equivalent
- Must be able to work in a fast‑paced environment
- Must be a team player with a positive attitude
- Experience in the bid process with sub‑contractors
- Experience with quantity takeoff and estimating
- Ability to read blueprints, schedules, specs, and other construction documents
- Proficient in MS Office, MS Project Outlook, Procore and Bluebeam.
- Ability to interact with external and internal clients at the executive level
- Ability to manage and coach others in vocational and administrative skills
- Capable of multitasking, problem solving and managing priorities
