What to Expect (Job Responsibilities)
  • Build and lead a high-performing sales organization focused on launching and growing products in specialty markets
  • Develop and execute business plans aligned with commercial strategy and growth projections
  • Provide leadership and strategic direction to regional specialty sales managers to ensure accountability and compliance
  • Foster innovation in sales practices and ensure effective collaboration across departments
  • Set and achieve challenging business objectives while maximizing performance outcomes
What is Required (Qualifications)
  • BS/BA degree AND 17+ years of progressive leadership experience in specialty pharmaceutical or biotech sales management
  • Proven experience in managing a regional specialty sales force and product launches in complex environments
  • Ability to operate effectively in varied sites of care and specialty pharmacy fulfillment
  • In-depth understanding of industry standards and market access fundamentals
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a proven ability to lead and influence others
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)
  • MBA or PhD preferred with respective years of related experience (15+ years for MBA, 12+ years for PhD)
  • Experience in specialty pharmaceuticals, rare diseases, endocrinology, psychiatry, or neurology
  • Demonstrated ability to attract and develop talented staff while maintaining focus on business metrics
  • Recognized as a trusted advisor within the company and industry
  • Strong self-motivation and ability to work independently
