The Account Manager is responsible for managing a portfolio of existing client accounts, ensuring satisfaction, retention, and growth. These accounts are ongoing in nature—similar to recurring or annuity-style business—with significant opportunity for both expansion and long‑term relationship development. Working closely with cross‑functional teams, the Account Manager ensures seamless customer support, operational excellence, and a consistently positive client experience, while building a foundation for advancement into more senior account management roles.
- Client Relationship & Account Management
- Maintain and grow relationships with a portfolio of regular purchasing accounts, ensuring satisfaction, consistent service, and long‑term loyalty.
- Respond promptly and professionally to client inquiries, ensuring clear communication and accurate follow‑through.
- Monitor account activity, track engagement, and identify patterns or opportunities to strengthen partnerships.
- Solicit and share client feedback to support continuous improvement in service delivery, product development, and sales strategies.
- Revenue Growth & Opportunity Development
- Proactively assess client needs to identify upsell opportunities that increase revenue and expand account impact.
- Partner with marketing to support targeted account‑based initiatives.
- Support sales executives on larger strategic accounts, contributing to cross‑team revenue goals, whenever needed.
- Position the company’s offerings to educate customers, meet client needs, and enhance retention and growth within assigned accounts.
- Operational Excellence & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
- Ensure accurate, timely fulfillment of client orders and resolve issues by coordinating with cross‑functional teams.
- Collaborate with internal partners (Sales, Marketing, Operations) to streamline processes and improve efficiency.
- Complete administrative tasks and special projects with accuracy and efficiency.
- Contribute to process improvements that enhance client communication and service quality.
- Create and evaluate regular customer revenue and ordering analyses to identify trends and opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree and 3‑5 years of experience in a client‑facing or sales role, ideally in a business‑to‑business environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; confident in written, verbal, and digital channels.
- Organizational and time‑management strengths; detail‑oriented and accurate.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, CRM systems, and AI‑enabled tools.
- Adaptability, problem‑solving skills, and a proactive, growth‑oriented mindset.
- Collaborative, team‑focused, and motivated by client success and portfolio growth.
- Has a passion and mindset for delivering exceptional client service.
