The RoleThe Director of Account Management will define the pace, strategy and standard for how STN nurtures and expands these partnerships. This is a senior leadership role focused on leading major client relationships, driving account growth and ensuring an exceptional client experience.
We’re looking for someone who thrives in high-level client environments, communicates with confidence and has a demonstrated history of long-term client management within a creative, marketing or social-first agency – ideally with deep experience in sports.
We’re seeking a true sports diehard, someone who lives the culture, breathes the storylines and can walk into a room with clients and instantly start dreaming. Think white-boarding concepts for LeBron’s final game, mapping out how to capture Caitlin Clark winning MVP or crafting the perfect storyline for a Super Bowl underdog campaign.
This position includes frequent travel for client meetings, conferences, onsite support and internal planning summits.
What You’ll Do- Serve as a relationship leader for STN’s largest partners, ensuring they feel seen, supported, challenged and guided
- Lead key client conversations, strategy sessions, onsite meetings and executive updates
- Ensure in-person connection remains a core part of partnership success by prioritizing recurring face‑to‑face meetings across the client roster
- Keep a steady pulse on partnership health, risks and opportunities using our Client Scoreboard Report and NPS survey results
- Strengthen long‑term trust with sports, entertainment and brand partners
- Serve as a senior strategic partner who deeply understands each client’s business goals and shapes creative, insight‑driven recommendations that elevate partnership value
- Drive the renewal strategy for STN’s largest relationships, ensuring timing and client alignment stay ahead of schedule
- Keep renewals at the center of your focus by prioritizing partnership longevity, client trust and year‑over‑year retention
- Partner closely with the Client Success team to identify and win thoughtful expansion opportunities rooted in genuine client needs and long‑term vision
- Lead high‑stakes renewal conversations directly with clients, positioning STN as a strategic partner they can rely on
- Consistently achieve and surpass 100%+ NRR, reflecting strong relationships and smart expansion
- Lead, coach and inspire the Account Management team to deliver best‑in‑class client experiences that deepen trust and drive retention
- Provide thought leadership, guidance and escalation support to AMs
- Join key client calls to model high‑standard relationship management
- Help team members strengthen their strategic thinking, communication and partnership skills
- Ensure the team remains client‑obsessed in the best possible way – anticipatory, thoughtful and always adding value
- Act as a senior point of escalation for key accounts, resolving challenges quickly, confidently and with a calming presence
- Build strong relationships from the very first pitch – setting the tone for trust, connection and long‑term partnership
- Lead or support pitches for key prospects especially within sports, bringing energy, clarity and confidence that wins over the room
- Act as a trusted guide from first introduction through kickoff, ensuring a seamless transition into a successful active partnership
