We are building a high-performance sales organization and are seeking an experienced Business Development Hunter to expand our footprint in California.
Role OverviewThis is a true new business acquisition role for a self-driven, entrepreneurial sales professional with an existing book of business in corporate lodging, relocation services, emergency housing, workforce housing, or real estate arbitrage.
You will be responsible for opening doors, building relationships, closing enterprise and government-adjacent accounts, and managing high-value partnerships. This is a hybrid field role requiring in-person meetings, discovery calls, and relationship building throughout California.
Key Responsibilities- Prospect, source, and close new enterprise and government-related lodging and housing contracts
- Leverage your existing network and book of business to generate immediate pipeline activity
- Conduct in-person discovery meetings with corporate clients, relocation firms, emergency response organizations, and workforce housing buyers
- Build long-term relationships with decision-makers and procurement stakeholders
- Identify high-volume housing needs including:
- Corporate training travel
- Traveling nurses and healthcare staffing
- Disaster response housing
- Infrastructure and construction workforce housing
- Corporate relocation projects
- Negotiate contract terms and close multi-unit and long-term lodging agreements
- Maintain CRM hygiene and provide accurate pipeline forecasting
- Collaborate with operations to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery
- Proven experience in business development, enterprise sales, or corporate housing/lodging sales
- Existing book of business or transferable relationships within:
- Workforce housing
- Relocation services
- Emergency housing
- Real estate arbitrage or short-term housing procurement
- Strong hunter mentality with demonstrated outbound prospecting success
- Ability to operate independently without heavy management oversight
- Comfortable with in-person meetings and field sales activity
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and closing skills
- CRM experience preferred
