Job Title: Strategic Category Manager
Location: San Diego, CA

We are seeking a Strategic Category Manager to lead strategic sourcing and commodity strategies within a manufacturing supply chain environment. This role owns supplier strategy, risk mitigation, and cross-functional alignment to support new production, construction, customer service, and NPI programs.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and execute short- and long-term commodity strategies
- Lead supplier sourcing, qualification, and onboarding
- Drive supplier performance across cost, quality, delivery, and risk
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks; develop contingency plans
- Partner with Engineering, Operations, Legal, and Finance
- Manage multiple strategic sourcing initiatives and report progress to leadership
- Bachelor’s degree required
- 10+ years supply chain / strategic sourcing experience (or 7+ years with a Master’s)
- Proven experience in commodity strategy within manufacturing
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills
