Account Specialist

Description

Our client, a respected nonprofit organization, is seeking an Account Specialist to join their team. This role is ideal for individuals passionate about mission-driven work and skilled in managing financial transactions and supporting accounting operations.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions, ensuring accuracy and timeliness

+ Maintain and reconcile financial records, including ledgers and bank statements

+ Support preparation of budgets, grant tracking, and financial reports as needed

+ Assist with monthly and year-end closing procedures

+ Communicate regularly with internal teams and external partners regarding financial matters

+ Ensure compliance with nonprofit accounting standards and organizational policies

Requirements

+ Previous experience as an Account Specialist, Accounting Assistant, or similar role, ideally in a nonprofit environment

+ Proficient in accounting software such as Quick Books, SAP, Microsoft D365, Workday, or related platforms

+ Strong understanding of bookkeeping and accounting principles

+ Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills

+ Experience working with grants, fund accounting, or nonprofit reporting is a plus

+ Associate or bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
