PositionSummary
The Staff Accountant will be responsible for maintaining the accounts payable and accounts receivable records. This role will be instrumental in supporting both the accounting department and operations teams.
CoreRoles & Responsibilities
- Responsible for reviewing and entering invoices in the accounting database.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure invoices are received timely and are coded to correct accounts.
- Responsible for applying rent payments from tenants.
- Responsible for posting cash journal entries as needed.
- Process bi-weekly check run and mail checks.
- Follow up on outstanding checks and notify Assistant Controller if Void and Stop payment is required.
- Scan physical invoices to the Accounts Payable system and maintain documents for all areas of AP.
- Scan property tax statements for payment processing.
- Monitor the AP email inbox and correspond with vendors as required.
- Post monthly service contract purchase orders.
- Coordinate purchase order discrepancies with PM team.
- Post daily Accounts Payable batches in Yardi.
- Post daily rent payments from tenants.
- Post daily ZBA journal entries.
- Update weekly cash report template.
- Process annual 1099s Forms.
- Assist with corporate accounting as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a similar field preferred
- Experience with Yardi preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years of experience with basic accounting knowledge required

Compensation: $65,000 - $80,000 annually DOE + 5% Bonus Eligibility. Competitive Healthcare Coverage, Multilayered Vacation, & 401K offerings.
