We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant who will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of Element’s financial statements. This is an incredible opportunity for someone who is passionate about contributing to the success of a future, world-class finance organization. We are looking for candidates with a solid background in a wide range of accounting topics who can grow and assume new responsibilities as the company evolves.
Experience working in a public accounting firm or a publicly traded company is highly desired. This role will report to the Director of Accounting and will be an on-site/San Diego based role.

Essential Functions And Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support the establishment and enhancement of a strong internal control environment
- Own the accounting process over key balance sheet and income statement accounts
- Effectively interact with third-party providers to ensure the proper accounting for areas such as indirect taxes
- Support and/or perform the processing of certain indirect tax filings
- Identify, provide input to and/or support improvements to systems and processes to drive efficiency and enhance effectiveness
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline with a minimum of 2 to 5 years of broad, progressive accounting experience
- A CPA designation is preferred but not required
- Experience with the preparation of financial statements in a multi-entity, multi-currency environment preferred
- Net Suite proficiency preferred
- Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, and Power Point
- Excellent communications and interpersonal skills with the ability to effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders
- A passion for teamwork and continuous improvement
Physical Requirements
- Ability to sit and/or stand at a work station for long periods of time
- Ability to move objects weighing up to 20 pounds
- San Diego, CA – on-site
- Up to 5% or as needed
- Full-time, Exempt
- $97,000 - $118,000

Base compensation will depend on multiple factors, including geographic location, qualifications, and experience.
