Staff Accountant II

Job Type: Full-Time

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 per year + Bonus Opportunities

We’re partnering with a leading distributor in the automotive aftermarket industry, known for their exceptional service and expansive delivery operations across California and New Mexico. As they continue to grow, they’re seeking a Staff Accountant II to join their dynamic accounting team.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional to contribute to a high-performing finance department while advancing their career in a stable, growth-oriented company.

Key Responsibilities

General Ledger & Financial Close

• Post journal entries and calculate accruals/deferrals
• Review trial balances and reconcile subledgers monthly
• Ensure compliance with GAAP
• Execute month-end and year-end close activities
• Conduct account analysis and balance sheet reconciliations
• Record daily cash activity
• Maintain accurate documentation of accounting processes

Audit & Budget Support

• Assist with internal and external audits
• Prepare audit materials and respond to inquiries
• Support budget development at both entity and consolidated levels

Process Improvement & Collaboration

• Document and improve internal controls and workflows
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet financial deadlines

Qualifications

Education & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of experience in corporate and/or public accounting
• ERP system experience (3+ years)
• Advanced Excel skills

Technical & Analytical Skills

• Strong understanding of GAAP
• High attention to detail and financial accuracy
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities

Communication & Organizational Skills

• Clear verbal and written communication
• Must work onsite Monday through Friday (no remote or hybrid)
