Overview

Staff Accountant / Senior Accountant – Award-Winning PR & Communications Agency. One of San Diego's leading public relations and brand communications agencies is seeking a Staff Accountant / Senior Accountant to join its growing finance team. This is a highly visible role supporting month-end close and full-cycle accounting within a collaborative, people-first environment. Your strong accounting foundation and hands-on approach will allow you to make an immediate impact while positioning yourself for long-term growth as the team continues to scale.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
• Strong staff-level or true senior-level accounting experience
• Solid technical accounting foundation; public accounting experience not required
• CPA or CPA-track preferred, not required
• Advanced Excel and reporting skills
• Experience working with ERP systems (SAP or Oracle preferred)

• Own and support the month-end close process
• Manage full-cycle accounting, including AR, AP, GL, reconciliations, and reporting
• Provide oversight and guidance to junior AR/AP resources
• Partner closely with Accounting Managers and the VP of Finance
• Prepare accurate and timely financial reports
• Support ongoing improvements to accounting processes and controls
• Serve as one of the most hands-on and visible members of the accounting team

• Compensation is determined by several factors which may include skillset, qualifications/certifications, experience level, and geographic location.
• The expected range for this role is $75K–$115K, annualized base compensation, depending on level (Staff vs. Senior), with additional compensation components. Please note this range is an estimate and actual may vary based on qualifications and experience.
