About the Opportunity:
Our client, a financial services company, is seeking a 100% remote Staff Accountant II to join their team. The Staff Accountant II will play a crucial role in managing various accounting functions. This position is responsible for executing financial processes and P&L tasks while ensuring accuracy and efficiency in financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively in a fast-paced environment.

$65,000 - $75,000

Please note this range is an estimate, and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

• Process recurring and one-time monthly close tasks, including journal entries, adjustments, reporting, account reconciliations, and other accounting-related duties.
• Analyze variances for monthly P&L statements across assigned business units.
• Research, analyze, and respond to inquiries from managers regarding financial performance.
• Provide high-level support for accounting operations, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
• Train managers and employees on P&L details, financial reporting, and accounting procedures.
• Prepare financial reports and other ad hoc analyses for management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

• Bachelor`s degree in Accounting required
• 2+ years of experience in general ledger accounting or public accounting required
• Proficiency in financial reporting, journal entries, and account reconciliations
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments
