Position Summary:
Responsible for fixed assets, lease accounting, debt accounting and any construction accounting as needed.
Essential Functions of the Job:
- Assists with AP manager to keep up the fixed asset schedule and monthly JE’s
- Perform all construction loan JE’s
- Perform all Debt JE’s
- Update and maintain SYH with the new lease accounting guidelines
- Update and maintain SYH with new In-Kind accounting guidelines
- Perform assigned balance sheet reconciliations monthly; enters adjusting journal entries as directed and provides adjustment recommendations to supervisor for maintenance of clean and accurate account balances;
- Performs PACE professional fee expense JE’s
- Handle all aspects of rental properties, including invoicing, revenue and expense JE’s and following up on payments not received.
- Perform Unclaimed Property reporting

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assists in maintaining and developing departmental policies and procedures in matters affecting cost, accounting, and reporting policies.
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in current educational programs, service meetings and workshops.
- Attends meetings as required and participates on committees as directed.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
Job Requirements:
Education Required (Minimum level of education):
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting with at least 3+ years of relevant work experience to substitute for education.
Experience Required (Minimum level of experience):
- 3 years in finance or accounting in a health care or non-profit setting
Verbal and Written Skills Required to Perform the Job:
- Good oral and written communication.

- Prolonged periods of sitting.
- Superb organizational ability and exceptionally analytical.
Technical Knowledge and Skills Required to Perform the Job:
- Knowledge of financial reporting, cost analysis, and accounting practices.
- Working knowledge of spreadsheet and word processing programs.
- Excellent analytical and problem solving skills.
- Ability to organize and prioritize work effectively.
Equipment Used:
- Personal Computer and 10-key.
Working Conditions and
Physical Requirements:
- Lifting of no more than 15 lbs.
- May be required to work evenings and/or weekends occasionally.
