Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting
This is a seat at the table—not a back-office role.
We’re partnering with a fast-growing, multi-entity organization to identify an Assistant Controller who will serve as a key operational and leadership partner within the accounting function. This role is ideal for a seasoned accounting leader who combines deep technical expertise with strong people leadership and a passion for building scalable, best-in-class accounting operations.

- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations across GL, AP/AR, fixed assets, inventory/cost accounting, payroll, and equity administration
- Ensure accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with U.S. GAAP across all processes
- Lead and develop a high-performing accounting team, setting clear expectations and driving accountability
- Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes across multiple legal entities
- Review journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements
- Support external financial reporting requirements in alignment with public-company standards
- Maintain and enhance internal controls over financial reporting
- Support SOX documentation, testing, and remediation efforts
- Serve as a primary point of contact for external auditors during audits and reviews
- Research and apply accounting guidance related to revenue recognition, leases, inventory, equity, and other complex transactions
- Support policy updates and implementation of new accounting standards
- Assist with accounting aspects of acquisitions, integrations, and strategic investments
- Drive continuous improvement and automation of accounting workflows
- Optimize ERP usage and strengthen data integrity to support scalability
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, Operations, Legal, and IT to align accounting outcomes with business objectives
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 10+ years of progressive accounting experience
, ideally including public accounting and public-company industry exposure - CPA required (active or inactive)
- Strong command of U.S. GAAP, including revenue recognition, leases, inventory, and consolidations
- Proven experience managing multi-entity close processes and audits
- Working knowledge of SOX and internal controls
- ERP experience required (Net Suite strongly preferred)
- Confident leader with strong communication skills and the ability to partner across functions
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and comfortable operating in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment
