Staff Accountant Consultant

Overview

Our client, a growing biotech organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant Consultant to assist with general ledger accounting and accounts payable responsibilities. The role will focus on general month-end close tasks, accruals, and supporting AP functions.

• Duration: 3+ months
• Location: Hybrid – San Diego (1–2 days onsite per week)
• Compensation: $35 – $50/hr
• Note: Please note this range is an estimate and actual pay may vary based on qualifications and experience.

• Execute month-end close activities, including journal entries and account reconciliations
• Manage accruals and support general ledger maintenance
• Assist with day-to-day accounts payable processes
• Maintain accuracy in accounting records and financial reporting
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure timely and accurate financial operations

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
• 2+ years of relevant accounting experience
• Hands-on experience with Net Suite required
• Prior work in the life sciences industry is preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a dynamic environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
