Outsourced Accounting - Staff Accountant​/Analyst

Overview

CBIZ is seeking a highly motivated Staff Accountant / Analyst to join our growing Outsourced Accounting & Advising team. As a part of our national firm, you will have the opportunity to serve a diverse portfolio of clients across industries, supporting their day-to-day accounting functions and helping deliver accurate, insightful financial information to power business decisions.

As a Staff Accountant / Analyst with CBIZ, you will work on multiple client accounts each month under the supervision of experienced Managers and Directors. The role includes full month-end closing processes as well as participating in monthly advisory calls. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your skills and experience, collaborate with a team of professionals, and make a direct impact on our clients’ financial success.

• Prepare journal entries as part of month-end close and maintain accurate general ledger and subsidiary ledgers for assigned clients
• Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll transactions and perform bank and credit card reconciliations as needed
• Handle sales tax filings and basic compliance reporting as needed
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements using our executive reporting tools
• Communicate with clients to gather information, resolve discrepancies, and assist in advising clients relative to their financial results
• Collaborate with Managers and Directors on process improvements and best practices
• Participate in monthly client financial and advisory meetings

• Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field, or relevant experience in lieu of a degree
• Two years of functional accounting experience
• Proficient use of applicable technology
• Able to work in team environment
• Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of an organization, both internally and externally
