Tax Preparer - Entry Level

Description We are looking for an Entry-Level Tax Preparer to join our team in San Diego, California. In this role, you will assist senior tax professionals with preparing individual tax returns using Lacerte Tax Software while ensuring accuracy and compliance with regulations. This is a contract position offering an excellent opportunity for growth and skill development within the financial services industry.

Responsibilities:

- Assist in preparing individual tax returns under the supervision of senior tax professionals.

- Enter and verify tax-related data to ensure accuracy and compliance with current regulations.

- Utilize Lacerte Tax Software to complete tax preparation tasks efficiently.

- Perform administrative duties to support the tax preparation process.

- Collaborate with team members to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality tax services.

- Maintain organized records and documentation for tax filings.

- Stay updated on relevant tax laws and regulations to ensure compliance.

- Respond to inquiries and provide support during the tax filing process.

- Identify potential discrepancies and resolve issues in tax documentation. Requirements - At least 1 year of experience in tax preparation or a related field.

- Proficiency in preparing individual tax returns.

- Familiarity with Lacerte Tax Software is strongly preferred.

- Strong organizational and data entry skills.

- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

- Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving abilities.

- Knowledge of tax laws and regulations.

- Strong communication skills to interact with clients and team members effectively.
