Job Description
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Staff Accountant to join our property accounting team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about delivering accurate financial insights that support operational excellence.
As a Staff Accountant, you will be responsible for managing daily accounting tasks, preparing financial reports, and supporting internal teams with timely and relevant financial data. You’ll collaborate closely with senior accounting staff to ensure compliance, accuracy, and continuous improvement across our financial operations.
Responsibilities- Review general ledger accounts daily to ensure accuracy and communicate necessary reclassifications.
- Reconcile disbursement accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Manage inter-company balances and prepare transfers.
- Record daily cash entries and prepare monthly cost allocations.
- Prepare draw requests and maintain reconciliation schedules, including WIP analysis.
- Compile financial review packages and quarterly reports for internal stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required).
- Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, lookups).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- High attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Experience with Yardi and property management is a plus.
