Are you a finance professional with a passion for craftsmanship and operational excellence? A well-established custom construction company—renowned for delivering high-end masonry work for over 30 years—is seeking a Controller to lead and evolve its financial operations.

This company is known for its beautiful, lasting work, blending old-world facades with modern interiors. With projects that span from intricate residential builds to large-scale commercial designs, their focus is on quality, collaboration, and attention to detail.

As Controller, you will play a key role in steering the financial direction of the company as it scales. You’ll work closely with leadership, influence strategy, and help ensure continued financial health across diverse, high-value projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee all accounting operations, including budgeting, forecasting, payroll, and job costing

Develop and maintain internal controls and process improvements

Provide clear financial reporting and insights to leadership

Ensure compliance and support financial audits

Lead and mentor accounting/finance team members

Ideal Candidate:

️ 5+ years in a Controller or senior accounting role, ideally in construction, manufacturing, or project-based industries

️ Deep understanding of GAAP, job costing, and WIP reporting

️ Experience with construction accounting software (e.g., Sage, Viewpoint, or similar)

️ Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset
