Join a growing accounting team of nine at a well-established, San Clemente-based company in the environmental services industry. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity driven by growth, working closely with an experienced and supportive Director of Accounting who values collaboration and professionalism.

The Accounts Receivable Specialist will handle day-to-day invoicing, collections, and credit-related activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build effective relationships with both internal sales teams and customers' accounts payable departments.

• Manage daily AR and collection activities with professionalism and persistence
• Process invoices, cash applications, and reconciliations accurately and on time
• Conduct collection calls and resolve payment issues
• Monitor and follow up on past due accounts and disputed balances
• Research discrepancies and ensure prompt resolution
• Handle credit applications and preliminary lien notices
• Maintain accurate records and support month-end close as needed
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure positive cash flow and account accuracy

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred
• Minimum 3 years of accounts receivable experience (construction industry experience is a plus)
• Proficiency in Excel, Word, and Adobe
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar accounting software preferred
