Giga Gen, a subsidiary of Grifols, seeks a talented, highly motivated Research Associate to support the process development of our diverse antibody therapeutics pipeline. This will include cell line development, cell culture optimization, and bioreactor production, as well as purification and analytical characterization of antibodies and antibody derivatives. This position will offer exposure to drug development, from early research through development/manufacturing, with ample opportunity to learn new methods, design experiments, and present your work.

Tasks include but are not limited to:

• Managing cell culture needs for multiple projects
• Flow cytometry
• Protein A purification of monoclonal and polyclonal antibodies
• Protein biochemistry, including SEC and CE-SDS
• General molecular biology, such as PCR and nucleic acid extraction
• High throughput screening technologies
• Compiling and analyzing test data for study reports
• Developing and writing standard operating protocols

Additional Responsibilities,

Skills & Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or related discipline
• At least 1 year of laboratory research experience, including some work with mammalian cell culture or protein purification/analysis
• Proficient in Microsoft Office
• Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds

The estimated pay scale for the Research Associate role based in San Carlos, California is $70,000.00 to $80,000.00 per year. Additionally, the position is eligible to participate in the company bonus pool. We offer a wide variety of benefits including, but not limited to:
