Position Summary
The Packaging Technician is responsible for executing filling, labeling, and packaging operations in support of commercial manufacturing. This role operates within a controlled cleanroom environment and is focused on accurate, efficient, and compliant execution of SOP-driven packaging processes using automated and semi-automated equipment. The position is well suited for a detail-oriented manufacturing technician comfortable working on a production schedule.
Salary - $60-75kKey Responsibilities Packaging & Production Operations
- Perform filling, capping, labeling, and packaging of finished products in a cleanroom environment in accordance with approved SOPs.
- Operate automated and semi-automated filling, boxing, case packing, and palletizing equipment.
- Prepare packaging components, materials, and production areas for product runs and changeovers.
- Execute production activities to meet schedule, quality, and throughput requirements.
- Accurately complete batch records, production logs, and other required documentation in real time.
- Verify materials, labels, and components to ensure compliance with product specifications.
- Adhere strictly to quality system requirements, cleanroom practices, and safety protocols.
- Perform routine cleaning, setup, and basic maintenance of packaging equipment and production areas.
- Identify and report equipment issues, process deviations, or quality concerns to supervision.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and inspection-ready work environment.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- 2+ years of experience in industrial packaging, filling, or manufacturing operations preferred.
- Prior experience working in a cleanroom or controlled manufacturing environment strongly preferred.
- Experience following SOPs, batch records, and quality-controlled work instructions.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs. and stand for extended periods.
- Working knowledge of GMPs, SOPs, and documentation practices in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to operate and perform basic troubleshooting on automated or semi-automated equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality.
- Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for handling small components.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team-based production environment.
