Summary
Delta Star Inc. is seeking a strategic and hands-on Maintenance & Capital Projects Manager to lead plant maintenance, projects, and continuous improvement initiatives. What You'll Do
As the Maintenance & Capital Projects Manager, you'll be responsible for ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of the plant and its equipment. You’ll own all maintenance, Cap Ex, and CI activities while acting as the General Manager’s right hand for operational growth. You’ll lead a high-performing team and collaborate across departments to implement best practices and support strategic expansion initiatives.
A Day in the Life
Your day will involve leading maintenance and engineering teams, managing facility upgrades, and driving performance improvements across the plant. You’ll oversee preventive and predictive maintenance programs, coordinate with vendors, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards. Whether you're solving equipment issues or planning major expansions, your leadership will be key to achieving plant goals for safety, quality, delivery, and cost.
Specific Duties
- Own all facility and equipment maintenance, projects, CI, and Cap Ex execution.
- Act as the GM’s strategic partner for operational growth and long-term planning.
- Lead maintenance and industrial engineering teams to improve safety, reliability, and productivity.
- Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Plan and oversee equipment upgrades, installations, and long-term strategies.
- Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions for equipment failures.
- Align maintenance plans with production goals and new equipment introductions.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules to minimize production disruptions.
- Supervise, coach, and develop maintenance and engineering staff.
- Build a culture of ownership, accountability, and safety.
- Manage vendors, contractors, and service agreements for quality and cost-effectiveness.
- Partner with EHS to ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Lead audits and track continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor equipment performance metrics (uptime, OEE, MTTR, MTBF) and recommend improvements.
- Drive OEE improvement and ensure performance visibility through dashboards and KPIs.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and manage departmental budgets.
- Lead Cap Ex project planning, justification, and execution aligned with strategic goals.
- Oversee facility renovations and expansions in partnership with the Corporate Director of Expansion.
- Support sustainability goals through energy efficiency and waste reduction initiatives.
- Respond promptly to urgent maintenance and operational issues.
- Manage the industrial team, including engineers, buyers, and maintenance staff.
- Lead change and alignment across the Business Unit to support company goals.

Position Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Facility Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- 7+ years of industrial maintenance and/or facility leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership, planning, and communication skills.
- Strong knowledge of safety standards, compliance requirements, and CMMS software.
