Junior Designer - Residential — Studio Bloom is partnering with Nash Design Group, a full service interior design firm located in San Carlos, CA with projects across the Peninsula and beyond. Nash Design Group focuses on the unique details of each space and brings a personal sense of style to every home designed. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly creative, self-motivated, and goal-oriented Junior Designer with impeccable attention to detail to join a collaborative and passionate firm.

You will work closely with a small design team on all aspects of design and project management. We are looking for someone eager to continue learning, evolving and growing as a Designer.

• Collaborate with senior designer to develop design concepts, mood boards, and presentations that align with client requirements and project goals.
• Prepare and manage detailed project budgets, tracking expenses and ensuring adherence.
• Coordinate the ordering of materials and furnishings, expediting deliveries to meet project timelines and ensuring quality control.
• Assist in space planning and layout design for various interior spaces, optimizing functionality and aesthetics.
• Research and select appropriate materials, finishes, furnishings, and fixtures in accordance with project specifications and budgets.
• Prepare detailed design drawings, floor plans, elevations, and construction documents.
• Assist in project management tasks, including scheduling, budget tracking, and on-site coordination and management of installations and photoshoots.

• Degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
• 1-3 years of professional residential design experience
• Strong grasp of the design process and project delivery
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Strong presentation skills, including space planning, hand and digital drafting
• Knowledge of furniture, fabric and finishes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD required. Knowledge of Studio Designer, Adobe Suite, Sketchup, Google Workspace, Dropbox, Tick Tick and other softwares a plus
• Ability to multitask and work collaboratively
• Deadline driven, self motivated and goal oriented with a high attention to detail
• Familiarity with San Francisco Design Center and local vendors
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation
