• Proven ability to drive technical strategy and roadmap for complex infrastructure projects.
• Ability to grow in a fluid, ambiguous environment.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross‑functional teams (Product, UX, Research).

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large‑scale projects across multiple sites internationally.

In this role you will lead Generative Media efforts in You Tube Shorts and our Creation Platform. You will have the opportunity to drive media generation serving infrastructure for You Tube.

Our team is responsible for bringing the video generation and image generation models to You Tube Shorts Creators. We own and operate the Creation Platform, which serves media generation initiatives in You Tube Shorts, You Tube Studio, and You Tube Create.

You will be at the forefront of Gen AI in You Tube, partner with applied ML teams, client teams, and product managers to deliver state of the art media generation models in You Tube.

The US base salary range for this full‑time position is $197,000-$291,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job‑related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
