• Read and comprehend simple instructions, product labels, pricing codes, shelf tags, short correspondence, and memos.
• Write simple correspondence.
• Effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees.
• Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
• Regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently up to 45 pounds, and occasionally up to 60 pounds.

Under direct supervision, the Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk provides friendly, courteous, and helpful service. This position assists customers, cleans, fills, and rotates the cheese and deli displays in the bulk deli. The Bulk Deli Cheese Clerk works two shifts, replenishing product and maintaining cleanliness while assisting customers throughout their shifts.

The working environment is typical of a fast-paced grocery store and requires lifting, standing, walking, and kneeling as well as visual and auditory abilities. A Food Handler Card or equivalent certification is required.
