Registered Nurse III - Specialty Critical Care (Operating Room Charge Nurse)

Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is now hiring for a Registered Nurse III - Specialty Critical Care who will serve as a Charge Nurse in the Operating Room (OR). Under direction, plans, assigns, directs and reviews the work of professional and technical staff engaged in patient care at the ARMC on a designated shift; performs related duties as required.

Located on a beautiful 70‑acre campus in Colton, California (50 miles east of Los Angeles), Arrowhead Regional Medical Center (ARMC) is a state‑of‑the‑art, public/nonprofit, 456‑bed, university‑affiliated teaching hospital licensed by the State of California Department of Public Health and accredited by The Joint Commission. The hospital houses a regional burn center serving four counties (San Bernardino, Riverside, Mono and Inyo), a comprehensive stroke center, level I trauma center and a freestanding inpatient behavioral health center.

Additionally, ARMC operates five community‑based, primary care clinics and over 40 specialty care outpatient services. ARMC is the primary teaching hospital for California University of Science and Medicine (CUSM).

Pre‑Employment Process
:
Applicants selected for this position must pass a background investigation, physical exam and verification of employment history and education.

License / Certifications
: RN license, Basic Life Support (BLS) and, depending on assignment, additional certification(s) may be required and must be maintained throughout employment.

Shift Availability
: ARMC is a 24‑hour facility; applicants must be available to work all shifts, weekends and holidays. Shift differentials are provided.

Experience
:
Two (2) years of full‑time equivalent experience as a licensed registered nurse, with at least three (3) months in a Specialty Critical Care unit (ICU, Emergency Department / Trauma, Labor & Delivery, Interventional Radiology, Cardiac Services, Operative Services, or Burn Center).

Certification
:
Must hold current Healthcare Provider Level BLS certification and the following unit‑specific certifications/courses required to work in the OR:

• Operating Room Nursing Course
• Certified Nurse Operating Room Certification

Ideal Candidate
:
Bachelor's degree in Nursing, Business, Healthcare Administration or related field and at least one (1) year of experience working in a hospital Operating Room.
